Learning 4: Submitting Your Site to Google

To get your sites indexed and readers, you should submit your sites to Search Engines. Talking about search engine will never been complete without talking about Google. By default, Google will crawl your sites and get it indexed, but it takes time. To shorten the time, you need to manually submit your sites to Google, for free. Here is the steps:

(1) Go to the Google Webmaster tool site HERE

(2) Log into Google Webmaster tools using your Google username (email).

(3) After you are logged in, you will see the following: Click Here to add your site" - You will enter your site URL address in that box.

(4) After you have entered your site URL address, click "ADD SITE" button.

(5) You will then select "Next Step - Verify Your Site"

(6) On the next page, you will then "Choose Verification Method" from drop down menu. Choose "Add a META tag" and you will have a Meta tag drop down onto the screen. The tag will look like this:

Leave this Google page open.

(7) Next go to your site.

(8) Copy the verification code and paste it in your site's home page in the first "head" section of the page, before the first "body" section.

(9) Go back to your Google verification and click the "VERIFY" button. Google will then confirm your blog is verified and will be posted to their search engine.

It is also recommended to submit your sitemaps to Google, as it will make their bot crawl your site more easily. Good luck :)

Learning 1: Web Designing

I don't know why somehow I want to learn web designing. I think it is just cool to design your own website, to create your own web pages. I saw also on the job marketplace on the internet many web developer needed. Maybe I can find luck in that field. Who knows, right?

So I take an intensive course about web designing. In the course I learn about Macromedia Dreamwaver (which now is owned by Adobe), Fireworks and Flash. As additions, they also teach me how to upload it to the server etc., with PHP and MySQL programs.

On the first day we (I and 2 other attendants) learned how prepare a website project, This section consisted of managing files and creating local site. We learned to design a web page layout using Dreamweaver. There is two kind of layout models: full page model and center page model. Developing web page layout can be done using two kind of methods: Table Method and CSS Method. As a beginning developer, we are supposed to use Table Method, as it's easier and less complicated than CSS Method.

That all sounds interesting, but I can say no more that that so far, as I have attended the class only 2 days. There haven't also a designed web page I can show for now :) Just wait for a few more days (or weeks), OK?

Well, as you reach this place, I guess you do want to know about me. What to do? I have no choice other than reveal my wonderful (tsahhh) life.

I am a single with no children LOL. Currently I am working as a admin and finance staff in an NGO named AMURT till the end of the year (I mean 2008). I also sometimes deliver yoga class to some groups. Well, I cannot say that I teach them. Actually we learn together.

Now I decide that being neither an employee nor an employer fits me. So I try to find jobs on the internet as an independent contractor or something like that. Yes, I feel confident of earning money online, as there are many jobs (I hope some of them are legitimate LOL) on the internet which I can apply provided my capability.

Currently I am trying to write content and submit it to some sites buying such written content.
